For this position, the salary offered is in the range of $51,000 to 61,000 per year with an attractive vacation allowance and a competitive benefits package.

The position would support SQBG in overseeing the complete IT requirements, maintaining hardware and software, responding to staff help desk requests, keeping up to date on IT advances and ensuring the security of data. The role requires extensive knowledge in computer troubleshooting and hardware configuration. We are looking for someone who will take pride in this role and make it their own. Key Responsibilities

Hardware and Software Support

Extensive knowledge in computer troubleshooting and hardware configuration including PC assembly and set up, system upgrades as well as various peripherals. Proficiency in the latest software including: installation, networking, and upgrading. Install and test hardware in a network environment. Provide basic user training on PC hardware and software problems. Verify and document problem resolution for PC support activities. Assist end users for technical hardware and software support. Proficient in the use of MS applications. Knowledge on POS setup and installation. Experience on Data, Voice and Surveillance Cabling. Responsible for offsite data backup and/or cloud computing.

Customer Service

Excellent troubleshooting and logical problem solving skills. Will require occasional local travel to other SQBG locations. Provides input into company policies and procedures as related to IT security. Assists with the implementation/ maintenance of ERP tool for organization. Responsible for all AV equipment and ensures proper maintenance. Ensures equipment is maintained and assists with purchasing decisions.
Sales and Project Management

In addition to daily IT duties, we require a candidate that will help grow our existing IT business. We have successfully completed data cabling, camera, networking and telecom jobs. The successful candidate will have an entrepreneurial aptitude and a background in sales and/or managing installation projects. Experience in pricing and quoting hardware installations or IT help desk support projects will considered a significant asset for this role.
Skills and Qualifications

The minimum qualifications required to successfully perform the SQBG Information Technology Generalist job are:

• Diploma in Information Technology, computer engineering or related field and 3-5 years’ experience in an IT position
• Exceptional Microsoft Office skills
• Experience with Microsoft Active Directory
• A+ Certification or equivalent experience
• CCNA or equivalent experience
• Knowledge of Meraki and Ubiquiti networking equipment
• Valid Class 5 Drivers License and use of personal vehicle
• Analytical and problem solving skills
• Effective verbal, written and listening communications skills
• Honest, respectful, flexible and demonstrating a sound work ethic
• Self-starter
• Excellent organization, time and stress management skills
• Possess cultural awareness and sensitivity

Working conditions

This position typically works Monday to Friday; however, the successful candidate can expect to work with a certain level of flexibility regarding availability outside of normal working hours, dependent on work load and projects. Our head office is located in Fort Langley.
